Just Got this coat today and hears my take on it. It is a nice coat for the money. It came in the original package and had the tags on it as well. I ordered the large and the coat I got was a 54-5, or a 44 long. And it fits like a large but its WAY to long for me (I normally wear a 44 short). It go's to about 2in's from my ankles and hangs about 4 inches past my wrists (I'm only 5'6 so I'm used to that lol). It has a vary form fitting cut to it so it wont fit someone with a larger chest but if you move the buttons on the half belt on the back it should fit a 46 chest. The wool is vary nice, better than anything at a department store that's for sure. It is a true navy blue and and I'd say its about 22-24 ounce weight, and while not as dark or as nice as my issue US navy pea coat it is vary similar in over all quality. All in all I like it and it will be a good coat for formal wear but I would not call it a every day coat, and I look forward to wearing it (after it's tailored). Swiss link is the only place I know to still have these same coats and it was a pleasure to deal with them. Shipping was good to (6 days to Buffalo NY). If you have been putting off buying this coat get it now while you still can!

Czech Wool Presidential Guard Coat
This coat is excellent, nearly to the same standard as U.S. Navy bridgecoats, but at about one-fifth the price. The wool is soft and of high quality, supple and not stiff; the color is slightly more blue (or slightly less black) than American navy blue, but still very dark. The coat is constructed so that nearly the entire back is one long pleat, from the collar on down. This provides a double layer of fabric (and a layer of semi-trapped air) to help keep the wearer warm. The pleat also helps to give the wearer freedom of arm movement. The coat is also fully lined, making it easy to put on or take off over a suit coat.
The "Large" size is a European 54. I probably could have used the next larger size, but no more were available. The coat was a bit snug for my portly frame, but this was quickly remedied by moving the two buttons on the half-belt across the back of the coat. (The 'full dress' version of this coat does not have a half-belt, because it is worn with a separate parade belt. )
The buttons are of an historic pattern in Czechoslovak history; for the button collectors out there, the backmark is a wreath of linden leaves — very unusual. (Linden leaves also decorate the epaulets of the 'full dress' version of the same coat used when the guards are on duty.) The epaulets of this coat, however, are plain; they are sewn to the coat at the shoulder seam and at the button, and they are stiffened (like Navy shoulder boards). The right one also hides a small button underneath, for attaching an aiguilette.
The coat has two conveniently-placed slash pockets to help keep hands warm, and two inner breast pockets, both with buttons.
Warm without being overly heavy, this coat will keep you toasty and looking good without weighing you down. An outstanding value. In addition, Swiss Link makes available a very economical shipping option (Fed Ex ground) which is also quite quick — even more valuable for relatively heavy items like this coat.

I got this coat for my SO for Christmas. Due to a misjudgement in sizing, we had to send it back for a smaller size (he normally wears a 44 or a 42 in suits, and the XL was just too big for him). SwissLink was prompt and professional in getting us a replacement, and you have never seen a guy more complimented in his great new coat. Very stylish and dapper.
