Just got this coat today and wow! I've finally found my perfect winter coat! This coat is unissued and is an excellent value. I've wanted a soviet afghanka style coat for about 5 years now and this coat fits the bill! It has a long length, durable outer shell and has a removable belt, hood, fur-like collar and a liner that is the same fur-like material as the collar. My coat, liner and belt was made in 1989 and the hood was made in 1990 so it's a soviet era coat. It is a darker OD color not a khaki-like color as the picture shows. This was a bit of a let down, but it is a nice shade of OD so I'm not complaining. As I said earlier it is a soviet coat so it is designed for pure function, no nonsense here. The collar is put up to block the wind and the liner is full length (to the knee) very warm and soft. It also has drawstrings at the waist and bottom hem to help keep the wind out. I wore it outside for about 2 hours today with nothing but a tee-shirt underneath and never even got a chill. And it's about 25 degrees today. That impressed even me! I wish I would have had it a week ago when it was -10. I only have one problem with it, the size. I ordered a XL and got a 188/106 or about a 42L (large, long) I normally wear a 42-44 short so the length is a little to long for me. And the zipper can be a problem at first (its a brand new coat) but after I ran a pencil down it a few times and kept zipping it and unzipping it it works fine now and will only get better with time. This coat is a steal at this price and is perfect for a climate such as Buffalo were it can be -10 with 2 feet of snow on monday and then be 50 and sunny on friday (I wish I was joking). And Swiss link exceeded all my expectations, thay offer great stuff at great prices cant go wrong there. Shipping was good to, 6 days from Cali. To sum it up. Good coat at a good price from a good seller (just order the the next larger size).

Other than the dodgy zipper? (which is prone to misalignment and/or breakage) this is a WORLD CLASS coat. On build quality and materials alone, you should expect to pay about $300+ for a coat of this value. This was an ISSUE coat to the Czech officers, people. The weather in the Czech republic? Can KILL YOU DEAD. Easy fix for the zipper... get it replaced by a seamstress, or just use the buttons if you live in a "mild" cold climate (warmer than 25 F). A coating of ScotchGuard makes this coat seriously unbeatable at this price. Its a winner.
