This vintage Swiss Army bayonet was originally issued with the S.I.G. 57 Military rifle to the Swiss soldiers. It was manufactured in the 1950s and 1960s by both Wenger and Victorinox, the manufacturers of the famous Swiss Army knives. Each bayonet comes with its original scabbard. The 9.5″ stainless steel double-edged blade is .875″ thick and the ribbed, molded 5″ handle is comfortable to hold. The metal tang has a spring release and the 2.875″ wide hand guard protects your hand from the blade. It is 14.625" overall and weighs about 18 oz. Amazing quality forged by the best—the Swiss know their knives.
