This is one of the most amazing backpacks we have ever gotten our hands on. Why? Let's cut to the chase—the side pouches detach and connect into one completely separate backpack -or- two separate messenger bags with their own straps! The Dutch Army did something awesome here. It's made with heavy-duty Cordura material and features a padded back, shoulder straps, a kidney belt, and the side pouches we talked about earlier. This pack roughly measures 27" x 24" x 8" with the side pouches on. They're used but in good condition and do show some wear on the shoulder harness. This rucksack is better known as the "Lowe Alpine Sting".

(Type) Used | Buckle Straps:
This item is in good used condition, showing minor signs of wear such as light stains or fading, and comes complete with buckle straps.

(Type )Used | #2 Condition: These are still good usable packs, but may have one or more of the following issues: a busted zipper, a missing buckle, a missing strap, or faded color. They are incomplete and may be missing one or both pouches.

Please note: The side pouches come in two variations — one features a MOLLE system on the exterior (as shown in the main images), and the other includes buckle straps (as shown in the last image). Styles will be selected at random when shipped.

Origin of Camouflage

Dutch Woodland DPM

Dutch DPM was introduced as the standard camouflage for the Netherlands Armed Forces in 1991, replacing decades of plain olive drab uniforms. Based on British DPM but adapted for Dutch environments, its green, brown, black, and tan pattern offered effective concealment in local woodlands and fields.

Adopted as part of the M-93 uniform, Dutch DPM quickly became the norm for army, navy, and marines, with variants for different climates and missions around the world. It remains a recognizable symbol of Dutch peacekeeping and NATO participation, and continues to be popular in the surplus market.
