Dutch Army Woodland Rucksack Cover | Issued
There isn't a whole lot to say about a Dutch military rucksack cover, except that this one comes in a typical Dutch woodland camo pattern and measures approximately 40 inches in diameter (making it a size small, or "maat S"). Oh, and it's made of ripstop material and features a built-in stuff sack as well as a stretchy drawstring. I guess there is a bit to say!
Origin of Camouflage
Dutch Woodland DPM
Dutch DPM was introduced as the standard camouflage for the Netherlands Armed Forces in 1991, replacing decades of plain olive drab uniforms. Based on British DPM but adapted for Dutch environments, its green, brown, black, and tan pattern offered effective concealment in local woodlands and fields.
Adopted as part of the M-93 uniform, Dutch DPM quickly became the norm for army, navy, and marines, with variants for different climates and missions around the world. It remains a recognizable symbol of Dutch peacekeeping and NATO participation, and continues to be popular in the surplus market.
