Unlike a soft duffel that collapses under a pallet strap or a hard case that costs you a checked-baggage fee every time you fly, the Olympus G4 does the job of both. A 360° ABS internal frame with closed-cell foam protects everything inside. The bag rolls on patented 4″ Shark Wheels rated to 200 lb per wheel, tucks into a 14″ retractable telescoping handle when you're checking it, and converts to a ruck with adjustable padded shoulder and waist straps when the wheels stop being useful. When you need more room, unzip the expansion panel — the bag grows from 6,750 to 9,000 cubic inches without losing structure.
