Deploy heavy. Move fast. Come home with your gear intact.
The Olympus G4 is a military-issue deployment bag built for personnel who move often, move rough, and don’t get to pick their transport. It is the current generation of the same loadout bag on the DLA record under the Olympus platform NSN, a bag that has been proving itself with active-duty units, Air National Guard, and contractors since the platform’s first fielding.
This is the OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) variant, matching the U.S. Army and Air Force service uniform pattern.
TAA Compliant TSA Friendly Assembled in USA NSN 8465-01-679-7717
The bag that does the job of a duffel and a hard case.
A soft duffel collapses under a pallet strap. A hard case costs you a checked-baggage fee every time you fly. The Olympus G4 gives you the internal protection of a case, the volume and shoulder-carry of a ruck, and the roll-and-go of a wheeled bag. One piece of kit, three ways to move it, structured enough that a stack of Pelicans on top of it is not a problem.
A rolling footlocker, not a soft bag.
The interior is a 360° ABS frame with closed-cell foam, held in shape whether the bag is empty or loaded. Three removable ABS shelves attach with 360° Velcro, so you can run the bag as a footlocker with helmet on top and boots on the bottom, or pull the shelves and open it up to one 9,000 cu in volume.
The 420D Packcloth Tan interior is not a style choice. Tan reads clearly in low light, so you can find what you packed at 0300 without unpacking the bag.
6,750 to 9,000 cubic inches, without losing structure.
Unzip the expansion panel and the bag grows a third of its capacity without the sides ballooning out. The frame carries the load in both configurations, so the shelves still hold and the wheels still track.
Unexpanded · 30″ × 15″ × 15″ · 6,750 cu in
Expanded · 40″ × 15″ × 15″ · 9,000 cu in
Three ways to carry, no wrong way to check it.
The Shark Wheels, the retractable 14″ telescoping handle, and the padded ruck suspension are not add-ons. They are on the bag, at all times, ready to be the one you need.
Wheel it.
Patented 4″ Shark Wheels, dual ball bearing, rated to 200 lb per wheel. They roll over pallet cracks, gravel, and grating without hanging up like an inline caster.
Roll it.
Retractable 14″ HD telescoping handle, composite metal, tucks fully into the top of the bag so it will not snag or catch on a conveyor.
Ruck it.
Real ruck suspension with adjustable padded shoulder straps and a waist strap. Frame carries the load so the straps just tie you to the bag.
Built to survive the handling deployment bags actually see.
Every detail is picked for what happens after the bag leaves you: pallet straps, forklift tines, cargo nets, and the flight-line handler who does not care how much your kit costs.
YKK #10, lockable.
TSA-friendly YKK #10 zippers with three-point entry. Standard travel lock fits. Lock the main compartment even when you are still working the top flap.
Bartacked at every load.
1000D Cordura shell, ballistic-nylon back panel where the bag drags. TEK69 twisted-filament thread, double-stitched and bartacked at every stress point.
Marked, not misplaced.
Vinyl 4″ × 6″ marking window with one ID insert, plus a 9″ cloth pull and hanging handle. When a hundred bags come off the ramp, yours is legible.
Three interior pockets plus a document sleeve.
Three interior storage pockets keep small kit off the shelves and out of the way. A dedicated front document pocket holds orders, ID, or a passport, right where you can get to it without opening the main compartment.
The top flap has a 12″ easy-access opening so you can pull what you need without unloading the whole bag. 3-D aerospace mesh sits on the contact panels so the bag breathes even when it is loaded.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The Olympus platform is on the DLA record under NSN 8465-01-679-7717 (OCP), and has been fielded to Army, Air National Guard, and other units as a wheeled loadout bag. The G4 is the current generation of the same platform, with the updated 4″ Shark Wheel system and the tan 420D packcloth interior.
Yes. The Olympus G4 offered by Swiss-Link is the TAA-compliant configuration, suitable for federal, state, and agency purchase under FAR-covered contracts. TAA documentation available on request.
The bag is rated to 120 lb of internal load, and each of the four Shark Wheels is rated to 200 lb, giving the wheelbase a total capacity well in excess of a fully loaded bag.
Unexpanded, the Olympus G4 is 30″ × 15″ × 15″, inside the 62 linear-inch checked-baggage limit for most U.S. carriers. Expanded (40″ × 15″ × 15″ = 70 linear inches), it will typically be treated as oversize. Plan to check it unexpanded and expand it after arrival if you need the extra volume.
Yes. The YKK #10 zippers are TSA-friendly and accept a standard travel lock. The three-point entry lets you lock the main compartment even when the top access flap is in use.
It is a real ruck. The suspension system has adjustable padded shoulder straps and a waist strap, and the ABS frame gives the bag load-carrying structure that a strap-on kit does not provide. It is a heavy ruck, 15 lb empty, so it is designed for short-distance carry (vehicle to barracks, airfield to hangar, ship to shore), not multi-day patrols.
Three removable ABS shelves divide the main compartment vertically and are held in place by 360° Velcro, so you can pull them out to open the bag into a single large volume or keep them in to run it as a rolling footlocker. There are three internal storage pockets and a front document pocket for orders, ID, or a passport.
Yes. The Velcro attachment is designed to be user-serviceable, pull them out for large-volume loads, put them back in for staged gear.
